The kids loved our other color mixing activity so much and are so fascinated by the idea that I just had to do more:) I got the idea for the color wheel from
Mama Jenn but I had to make it my self in paint brush and then print it and color it with color pencils because I don't have a color printer:(

The first step is to use the droppers(color coded with star stickers) to put one drop on each little colored circle.
Then use the white pick to stir each color.
Lay a quarter of a paper towel(I used Costco's so they are Big!) on top.
Now you have a pretty color wheel!

Once they have practiced mixing all of the colors they can use the backside of the mat to make patterns and designs:) I was inspired by
The Activity Mom to make this little grid for them to practice their dropper skills.
Cool Right??
What cool activities! I had no idea the the drops would stay in the circle like that. I thought it was because of the sharpie I was using. lol I'm such a dork.
ReplyDeleteIs there any way you can email me a copy of that grid or post a link to it?
Yes, this is really cool!
ReplyDeleteoo very fun!!
ReplyDeleteLoved your idea so much that I had to make some printables for it! I've made a download of the circle grid (crediting you and the Activity Mom), plus some additional color wheel activities to download at my blog... montessoritidbits.blogspot.com. It will post sometime tomorrow morning.
